What Voters Must Do to Keep Up the Good Fight!!

As the Republican Party ricochets here and there fishing for 'more tolerable' ways to sell their offensive messages and outdated policies, progressives, as well as all those offended by the GOP, must maintain our determination to keep up the good fight!

The fight that involved videos of conservative officials and surrogates speaking negatively against women, minorities, Hispanics, undocumented immigrants, and gays...

The fight exposing the truth regarding Republican efforts to undo unions in order to take away workers' abilities to fight for decent pay and working conditions...

The fight that exposed conservative candidates vying to come across on the people's side in public but revealing their true intentions behind closed doors...

The fight that utilized blogs, tweets, and facebook posts to out adverse GOP rhetoric and attempted extreme policy-making...

The fight to persevere while waiting in long lines; through heat, rain, and cold, for hours on end to cast our votes after Republican officials reduced voting days and times as well as implemented poll taxes via newly implemented voter identification policies...

The fight denouncing the legitimacy of the President of the United States - Barack Hussein Obama!

Y-E-S-S!! ...and I SCREAM this to the world!!!! Despite all the Right Wing's BIG MONEY pledged to hold us back... We came out IN FORCE and ANSWERED the challenge... We SHOWED that when UNITED, WE CAN PERSERVERE! But... The war is NOT over... That battle was only the first in who knows how many to come... We MUST CONTINUE to reveal our STRENGTH IN NUMBERS because the GOP will NOT STOP!!

The People must be ready for the NEW GOP in DISGUISE!! The GOP that could attempt to pull the wool over our eyes ala the Tea Party of the 2010 elections! The GOP that could unleash another policy bait n switch, should we elect them falsely believing they have truly changed, just as the Tea Party did following the 2010 elections! The GOP that is TRULY ONLY INTERESTED in their Extreme Right Wing Agenda and will SAY and DO ANYTHING to gain power to enact their policies... Ala Mitt Romney!! [How many times did he flip-flop during his campaign?? No one could keep up!]

As far as I am concerned... We NEED to CONTINUE Voting Out Republicans until the Democrats have the MAJORITY in the House AGAIN... This is in addition to MAINTAINING the MAJORITY in the SENATE!! This is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL in order to TEACH those Right Wingers that WE are NOT MESSING AROUND!! ...and it may take another 2 or 3 election cycles before they geniunely get the message!

From my perspective... If we fail to keep the Republican Party in check... they will implement policies that will make the 2010 Tea Party bait n switch look like a child trading a red marble for a blue one... and I say this because, the way I see it... The Right Wing's TRUE OBJECTIVE (and this has been so even before President Obama was first elected) is to implement policies that will keep middle class and poor Americans living in substandard conditions as the well-off continue to prosper even further... and... quite frankly... I DO NOT believe the Republican Party truly even cares about the economy, specifically, as it pertains to our problem with unemployment or their loss of tax benefits... [Let us not forget the 2011 debt ceiling debacle that never should have occurred.] I believe many Republicans are perfectly happy with allotting taxpayer dollars to companies that ship jobs overseas, in order to increase corporative profits, since legislators obtain personal gains by catering to these corporations... The way I see it, if they have their way, legislators will continue endorsing these unfair practices (and that's putting it mildly) causing millions of US workers to feel hopelessly boxed in to accepting less than minimum wage pay should employers not want to allot them any more than that... Stripping workers' rights, from my perspective, would be the ONLY deterrent that would motivate unpatriotic USA companies to keep jobs in the United States!

If you do not believe my perspective to be true... consider the fact that Papa John's is preparing to let workers go or reduce their hours so the company will not have to participate in Obamacare… The owner prefers ousting workers to raising pizza prices a few cents... Now tell me that's not ridiculous! ...and what about the coal industry employer who fulfilled his promise to do the same simply because the President won his re-election... Look at companies such as Sensata, a multi-million dollar Romney investment, that forced its American employees to train Chinese workers before firing the Americans and shipping their jobs to China... Think about the Indiana workers that were told to build a platform at AMPAD, and later ordered to stand before it as the company announced they were being fired! How cruel could you get?! Well... Apparently a lot nastier by paying substandard wages... refusing medical coverage... and contributing to high unemployment levels in order to INSURE a CONTINUOUS Pool of desperate workers waiting their turn to earn a few measly bucks!

As voters, we must remain focused on the necessity to keep the country moving forward... We must continue our efforts to keep up the good fight... to REMAIN on the WINNING side of this WAR.. and the BEST WAY to ACCOMPLISH these Goals is to VOTE IN ALL ELECTIONS! ALL Voters NEED TO understand and RESPOND to the FACT that ALL Elections have Consequences... and anyone who is uncertain or in any way dismissive of this fact should remember (or familiarize them self) with what happened during the 2010 elections!! The Tea Party PROMISED jobs but once elected, immediately began taking away women's rights... union rights... and... voters' rights... They DID NOT CREATE JOBS as promised! This was their BAIT AND SWITCH effort to take control of the House of Representatives as well as local governments in order to advance the "takeover" portion of their conspiracy to take down the President! When you look at this plot through clear eyes... when you gain clarity as to the Republican conspiracy to dismiss the President... the plan enacted during the evening of his inauguration... you can only come to the conclusion that the United States of America has suffered poor economic times for much longer than we should have due to Senator McConnell, and his Right Wing allies', scheme to take down the President! Believe it... because it is true!!

So consider these facts...

Unemployment numbers are higher than they would be due to Republican obstructionism...

Women... voters... unions... are fighting for their lives because of extremist Republican policy-making...

Companies are changing employment practices/policies in order to keep profits high while shirking worker rights.

So... Yes!... We have won the battle but we have not won the war... All the evidence you need is the fact that the President, the House, and the Senate, as of this post, are negotiating... AGAIN... what to do about the Bush tax cuts in order to prevent the country from going over the cliff... or the curb... whatever your preference... Point is... We MUST PERSERVERE because it ain't over yet...

Edited to add: Papa John's finally pulled back on changing their policies following public outrage. We The People MUST continue voicing our concerns if we expect to force other companies to respect our rights as workers; and politicians to understand our demands as citizens/voters! Let the Michigan fiasco, regarding Governor Rick Snyder's move to dissolve unions as well as that state's move to take away women's rights, as of date of this posting, (Dec 11 2012) remind us of this important fact! We, The People, MUST PREVAIL!!
