Can’t Stand the IRS? Wanna Stop Paying Taxes…?

Can’t Stand the IRS? Stop Paying Taxes You Say…?

IRS Taxes with dollar signs image
Maybe you are trapped in media/political brainwash!
If you have had it up to your eyeballs in the current ongoing IRS fiasco flashing through the news insisting that agency, the Attorney General Eric Holder, and the Treasury Secretary Jack Lew are lousy irresponsible incompetents and not only because you are sick of hearing about the agency’s mishaps but because you are ready to teach those Feds a lesson, maybe you should just stop paying your taxes! Maybe we should ALL skip paying our taxes!! That way, we could cause the Internal Revenue Service to become void of funds and we wouldn't have to listen to how they misused our tax dollars ANYMORE!!!

Just think…

No more wars because there will be no dollars to fund them…
This would be so pleasant… Real peace for a change…
We wouldn't need to worry anymore about our military men and women returning from war zone battles after losing limbs, acquiring speech impediments, dragging busted bodies or clinging to torsos containing bullets for the rest of their lives, or finding they have become incapable of caring for themselves as well as unable to find meaningful employment. We wouldn't have to look at [or down at] vets standing on street corners holding up cardboard tear-outs displaying beggar messages because they are in dire need of food, money, homes and clothing.

Likewise, veterans wouldn't have to watch in resentment as oblivious non-fighting civilians zoom around town in freshly groomed late model cars knowing they [the veterans] were the ones who fought the battles to keep these pleasures possible for the rest of us and yet the non-fighting civilians freely enjoy their merry-making while paying little homage to the vets.

Not having to worry about military veterans, of course, would be a most excellent thing! It would be even more excellent when considering the many veterans arriving home after fighting stupid unnecessary wars…

As we cut back on our tax contributions, however, as responsible citizens and adults, there are considerations we should ponder while dreaming of extra dinners we could spend out with family and friends; additional movies we could attend... seated comfortably in upgraded theater houses... feasting on popcorn, as well as drinks, and maybe even boxes of candy, excess shoes and clothes we could buy to boost our egos and self-esteem when peering into mirrors at our prissy reflections, and funds we could ignore wasting while pushing the gas pedal harder than necessary in order to speed passed slow poke drivers on the road whether or not they actually took care to drive posted speed limits….

What considerations you ask...

Well...

Considerations that foolishly hoarding our tax dollars for ourselves would undoubtedly come back to bite us in the debt assessments since it is inevitable that we would pay for our selfish acts later on down the road…

For instance, imagine those unfortunate homeowners and business persons caught up in the latest tornado assault that took place in Moore, Oklahoma. In cutting to the chase, think of the required aid families who lost loved ones suddenly needed in order to give their family member(s) proper memorial and or burial ceremonies. These people had not been expected to lose their lives—especially the children—thus the families were unlikely prepared to pay for proper sendoffs… and what about those who suffered injuries that required immediate attention… those who required hospitalization… who lost their homes… and others who lost businesses that created jobs for themselves and their employees.

Now… Let’s say that the only way for these individuals to recoup any type of resemblance to what normal once meant in their lives would be for them to use tax dollars they contributed to our homeland to help others that at the time taxes were paid were less fortunate than the disaster victims became. How many of these victims would have been able to regain worthwhile statuses, homes, temporary residences, hospital care, food and clothing for themselves and their children (where applicable) if all needed to do would have been simply to use the tax dollars they paid the IRS this 2013 to make themselves whole again? How many would have managed had they used “donated” tax dollars over the last 10 years? What about the passed 20 years…?

There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that when reasonable citizens think for themselves and rid their brains of political persuasions as well as media bent brainwash, the public can only come to conclusions that governmental bodies truly are necessary assets; and that collectively the agencies under which the government operates as a whole truly are the glue that bonds civilized nations together.

Are government agencies perfect?

No! They are not perfect…

This is why it is vital that anytime any government agency fails to uphold the deeds of its foundation with integrity and grace; its citizens should be all over those responsible for management inadequacies as well as lower level workers (civil servants) involved in inappropriate on-the-job conduct. Traveling down roads in which hating government agencies, in this case the IRS is simply downright preposterous! I mean do Americans truly believe that we can have our cake and eat it too when it comes to humanity… dignity… our safety and well being???

Yes… Most people have a preference to NOT pay taxes! It is like… inborn to prefer to keep what we earn and to make donations in increments of our choosing to whomever we choose... or not! But is it truly a right or even reasonable to think the United States would operate more proficiently if individual citizens took upon themselves the task of choosing, however we see fit, where and when to allocate our tax dollars as opposed to being forced to give up our hard earned money? I daresay that the notion of choosing when and where we want to distribute our income (the resultant having our cake and eating it too) is neither reasonable nor rational… The preference to not share our income in order to play a role in running the country and keeping the United States of America safe and prosperous makes NO SENSE AT ALL!

Now consider this...

...the fact that the media thrives on pushing controversial stories... particularly stories that rile the general public and keeps viewers watching, listening to and reading media-related materials.

Why does the public not understand that for the media… arousing and maintaining public outrage is how they keep their pockets deep!

The advertisers love it!

News Stations… Papers… Websites… Radio…

They all get paid MORE MONEY to keep viewers paying attention!

Ratings must be high to keep those dollars coming in!!!

The more persons viewing when an ad is shown, the more money the media makes.

So… don’t be fooled!

Now…  Of course... There are problems in ANY establishment…

But what we need to do is to fix the problems, not tear down the institutions!

Now get this!

The fact of the matter here is that very few persons with large audiences are talking about the REAL STORY here…

You know…

The story of how in 1959 the Republican Party under Dwight D. Eisenhower our 34th President changed IRS criteria to allow undeserving persons and entities 501(c)4 filing status that permitted them to file taxes under claims their primary intentions were to promote social welfare. With primarily being one of the operative words, the other was exclusively. The change from one word to the other is wherein the true story lies… Check out the first and one of the few folks in the media striving to get the truth out… The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell

The irony here is that... the Republican Party started this scandal…

Then... survived its outing for 54 years…

And then... the Democratic Party became the fall guys!

What’s your take…?
