Buy Used Under Herman Cain's Presidency...

As President Obama pulls apart his jobs plan in order to push it forward piece by piece, stating that the Republican led Congress could not discern it as a complete package; presidential candidate Herman Cain reveals that his 999 tax plan would, in fact, increase taxes on poor Americans. However... if you play your cards right, you could avoid some of these taxes. But how?

Well... Cain has been talking emphatically about this infamous 999 plan for months now; and seemingly, [plus according to him] his rise in the polls are, in part, a direct result of his constituents latching on to this proposed taxation philosophy. According to Cain, his plan is simple, and thus, his followers can easily understand it as well as agree with it.

Contrary to his claim, however, Cain's 999 tax plan figures to be everything but simple; and exactly how simple it is NOT finally underwent scrutiny when  David Gregory put the proposal to its most ruthless test during an interview on Meet the Press, October 16, 2011. While interviewing Cain, Gregory asked him to explain his plan; and more specifically, to tell how 999 would be good for the poor.

Despite his best efforts to talk his way around intentions that would cause increased financial hardships to poor and suffering middle class Americans, Cain finally admitted that the poorest Americans would be hit the hardest under his proposal. He then tried to soften the blow by stating that "most" people (the wealthy) would pay less taxes.

So there… You have it!

Should Cain become President of the United States, and should his 999 plan become law, Americans who are already at their financial worst would lose the most and lose it the fastest under his newly implemented taxation system!

A deeper look reveals that in addition to people already earning too little to pay income taxes suffering more under Cain's approach, people who live in a state such as New Hampshire, that does not collect certain types of taxes such as sales taxes, would go from paying zero taxes on purchased goods to paying 9%! This means that although buying goods totaling $100 right now, consumers would pay $109 for those same goods under Cain's tax plan. There is a silver lining; however, since the higher costs would only be realized if the purchases made happen to involve "new" rather than "old" products.

Yes!

That's right!

This is what bothers me most about Cain's plan!

Cain seems to be under the delusion that since his 999 plan allows Americans to avoid paying taxes on new goods by purchasing old used items instead, this tradeoff will somehow spur them to stand up and cheer! Cain seems to believe that people will somehow agree that buying used goods, rather than new items, would definitely be in their best interest! What a bunch of malarkey! But then… Cain is the candidate who said, "If you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame but yourself!" In other words, it is your own fault if you can only afford to buy used goods...

Cain's repeated emphases in the words "used" versus "new" got me to wondering…

Just what types of products, exactly, does he expect Americans to buy in order to avoid paying higher taxes under his 999 plan?

Let's think about that for a sec....

How about buying used cars…?

Well all right… I can see that. Without the benefit of statistics to back up these educated remarks, I will venture to say that most Americans, at some point in their lives, purchase at least one used car. After all, used cars help the up-and-coming to move their way into the working class, allows them to get to high school and college, and provides a first vehicle that offers an opportunity to gain a true appreciation of what becoming a car or truck owner is all about.

What about a house?

Okay… This is a biggie and it is probably fair to say that many, if not most, Americans purchase "used" homes before buying new ones. Of course, I am talking here about when the housing market is stable and thus allows new homeowners to buy at reasonable prices, grow equity, and then use that equity as down payments on new homes. This clearly is not the case today... Wonder if this is a good example of what Herman Cain thinks would be great for buying "used" in order to avoid paying taxes on purchased goods… Hmmm… Can only guess about this one though… Seems like an awful lot of money under the title of homeowner tax dollars would be loss to states if this happens…

All right… What about clothes? Does Herman Cain want Americans who cannot afford new goods to buy used clothing in order to forgo paying sales taxes? How about shoes? Does he want us to run around in used shoes as well to match our used pants, and shirts, and dresses… and let me not forget socks and underwear!

How about food?

Does Herman Cain propose that Americans buy used food in order to avoid paying sales taxes? Should fast food restaurants create "partially eaten" meal lines in their establishments? Should sit down restaurants offer "leftover" food menus? and… Should restaurants offer customers the opportunity to forgo fresh beverages and, instead, settle for "unfinished" drinks?

No wonder Herman Cain proved successful with his Godfather Pizza Shop undertaking. He has no respect nor consideration for the little guy or girl! He is a wolf in sheep's clothing! He acts like a narcissist who would do and say anything to get what he wants no matter who he steps on or pushes out the way to gain his profits! These facts are clearly revealed in the following Herman Cain philosophies:

1)     Herman Cain said he wants to electrify fencing in order to kill illegal immigrants. Of course... Later, during the same October 16 interview, he tried to play this fact off by claiming he was joking! You don't run for president and joke about killing people that you are not at war against! Please!

2)     Herman Cain saids African Americans vote Democratic because they are brainwashed into doing so. Later, he tried to play this statement off by claiming that he did not insult the intelligence of "all Black Americans" and that a lot of them are now "thinking for themselves"!

3)     Herman Cain claims President Obama does not have "Black Experience", and yet, Cain failed to participate in the Civil Rights Movement while Obama fought for rights to help the disadvantaged and the poor!

4)  Herman Cain says women and girls should be banned from undergoing abortions even when rape or incest are involved. Cain is not backtracking on this one. He means it flat out!

...and now that the truth is out about his 999 plan, we know that…

5)     Herman Cain wants Americans to buy used goods in order to avoid paying higher taxes!

No matter what Herman Cain's claims are as to who he is compared to who President Obama is, one thing I know for sure, if you really want to know what a black Tea Partier looks like, go take a look at presidential hopeful Herman Cain! After that... Please... Take hold of your senses and run as far away from him and his GOP cronies as you can get! We Americans must vote for our interests, not against them, and right now, whether we like it or not, our interests do NOT reside anywhere within the Republican Party. No matter which Herman Cain we look at, black… white… or female… in the end, they all are for Wall Street and none of them are for the People!
