Reggie Brown - President Obama Impersonator

During an interview on MSNBC, June 20, 2011, Reggie Brown, an impersonator of President Obama, said he had worked his performance and had fun. He also noted that he had been hired to go on for about 10 to 15 minutes. About 12 minutes into his spiel, after telling jokes that sounded against Republicans, however, Brown's microphone was turned off and he was escorted from the stage.

The impersonator told a joke about Tim Pawlenty having his foot surgically removed from his mouth stating this was the reason that the Governor had failed to appear at this session of the Republican Leadership Conference (RLC) that took place on Saturday, June 18, 2011. It was after this, among other jokes geared to stir laughter against Republicans, that the comedian's mike was turned off and he was escorted from the stage.

2000 GOP activists were on hand during the RLC to witness Brown's performance. Turning off his mike prior to escorting him from stage had the effect of preventing any more of his humor against Republicans to be heard by the booing GOP oriented crowd. The removal came as Brown was gearing up a bid about Michelle Bachmann. The RLC's president and CEO, Charlie Davis, took the liberty to give Brown the boot.

Brown has been telling political jokes for roughly three years. In regards to his actual resemblance to Obama, however, his ears do not stick out like the president's, however, he does have a mole on his left cheek next to his nose. He was also born from a white mother and has an African American father.
