Anthony Weiner Exposed on Twitter

After lying about a photo believed to be of Congressman Weiner revealing his penile organ through his underwear, he came clean with the truth. The photo, sent through his Twitter account to a woman in Seattle with whom he communicated, was a picture of him.

Breitbart, a conservative blogger who published the photo showing Weiner in his underwear, took the podium, intended for Weiner, before the congressman had a chance to mount the stand himself. Breitbart proceeded to "cry" about Weiner placing the blogger in a negative position by saying he had lied about the photo. Breitbart went on and on for several minutes pushing his point that he had been wronged undeservedly.

During his heartfelt and sincere apology, Weiner said he sent the photo as a joke. He also admitted to sending other photos, as well as emails and Facebook messages, to as many as six women over the last three years.

Despite his indiscretion, Anthony Weiner said he has not done anything illegal
or broken any "House" (of Representative) Rules and that he will not resign. Weiner took questions for about 25 minutes from the media.

Meanwhile, Democratic leader, Nancy Pelosi, called for an investigation of the congressman's behavior. Weiner says he will give complete cooperation to the Ethics Committee investigation.

Congressman Eric Cantor (Virginia) called for the resignation of Anthony Weiner despite standing up for (R) Governor John Sanford and (R) Senator John Ensign in 2009 during their adulterous affairs.

Ensign, while engaged in an affair himself, had called for the resignation of (D) Bill Clinton during his scandalous affair while Clinton held the presidency. Ensing's affair was with the wife of one of his staff members.

"I think he (Weiner) should resign." stated Cantor during an interview after stating he did not condone Weiner's behavior.

Of course, the problem here is that Cantor's behavior is hypocritical. On the one hand he is condoning his republican colleagues for adulterous behavior and on the other hand he is calling for discipline for his democratic apposition.

After saying he would not release the photo of Weiner in his underwear, Breitbart's photo turned up on the internet on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. He claimed someone took a picture of the photo when he held it up during filming of a radio broadcast.

During an interview with Chris Matthews, MSNBC's Hardball, Author Erica Jong described Weiner's, along with other male politicians who ruin the reputations through sex-related acts, are narcissists.
